Parker has really started moving in the last little while. He is finally figuring out how to scoot himself forward instead of backward. If he sees something he wants, which is almost everything, he will do anything he can to get it. He likes to get up on all fours and rock back and forth and then lunge forward. He also kinda does an army crawl. In the first two pictures Parker started out no where even close to this corner, but with a couple rolls and a couple scoots he was there in no time! I love watching this little guy move, although it does make me slightly nervous. :)

Parker really really really enjoys playing with cords, cables, wires....whatever the heck they are called. :) We have quite a few that are easy to get to in our living room and if you leave Parker alone for even just a minute, he will find one and start chewing on it. Or like in this picture, wrap himself up in it.
Here is a video of Parker trying to reach his second favorite thing to play with, an Ipod (or a cellphone). This video really doesn't even show how good he is at moving. I'll try to get a better one soon.
P.S. If Steve looks skinny to you in this video, its because he is. I'm not sure how much weight he has lost this semester, I want to say around 15-20 pounds (totally not fair) , which for Steve is a lot because it's not like he had a whole lot to lose in the first place. Steve has been under A LOT of pressure lately and is CONSTANTLY stressed out. Not fun. The end, however, is just right around the corner. We will hopefully be done, and he will hopefully GRADUATE (Steve's not walking or anything, that kind of stuff doesn't interest him) next Tuesday.

Parker is a Copycat

I love this video! Thats all!

P.S. it might be easier to see what Parker is doing if you make the screen bigger.

Parker's Fake Cough

So we've told people about Parker's fake cough that he does... well, this morning I caught it with my camera. It's fun being a dad. Gotta love this little guy. :)

Silly Parker

Parker has become quite the character lately. A couple days ago he started doing this fake cough. Seriously, it's pathetic. A lot of times he will do it when he starts to get upset or when he wants to get our attention. Steve and I try our hardest not to laugh when it happens, but Parker sees this and begins a whole new round of fake coughs. What a turkey!
Also, today I was trying to get some pictures of Parker in his new shirt that Jaycie got for him. EVERY time I would take a picture he would open his mouth up really really big. What a stinker! Parker is so much fun! He makes us laugh everyday and I LOVE it! We get to see more and more of his cute little personality everyday!

WARNING: Just a side note, which you probably don't want to read if you're not in the mood for being bored to death.
Today I took Parker to his WIC appointment and they measured and weighed him. When they told me his weight I was a little shocked because it was eight ounces under what he weighed exactly a week ago. I knew that there was no way he could have lost eight ounces in just a week, but then I remembered that at the doctors office they weighed him with everything on and it was the kind of scale that you have to move yourself...if that makes sense. The scale used today had the digital numbers. ANYWAY I feel like I am rambling on. So here are his real 6 month stats.
Weight: 17 lbs 3 oz
Height: 27 in (same as previous)

Six Months

A couple days late....but Parker is six months old! He is getting to be a very big boy. He's been rolling over since he was about 3 1/2 months old, but now he is a pro. He is CONSTANTLY rolling over. He can't really sit up on his own yet. If he starts to sway to the side at all he topples over, probably because of his big noggin, it's in the 97 percentile :).
We have been feeding Parker different cereals for a couple weeks now and on the day he turned six months, we fed him peas to celebrate! I think he is still trying to decide if he likes them or not.

For some reason, this picture just makes me smile. :)

And this one too, even though the quality isn't very good.

I was trying to get Parker to smile for his Grandpa's. This was the best I was able to get.

Here are Parker's six month stats:
Weight: 17lbs 11oz - 57%tile
Height: 27in - 69%tile

Steve Vs. Parker

Today as I was looking through some papers trying to find my teaching license (which I still can't find) I ran across Steve's immunization record. In there I found his height and his weight up to six months. It was really fun to compare Steve's stats with Parkers. No one else will probably care to look at these numbers but I thought that I would post them anyway.

Steve:
Birth - 20 1/2in 8lbs 2oz
2 Months - 24in 10lbs 15oz
4 Months - 26 1/2in 14lbs 7oz
6 Months - 27in 16lbs 14oz
Parker:
Birth- 19 1/2in 6lbs 11oz
2 Months - 23in 12lbs
4 Months - 26in 15lbs 10oz
6 Months - 27in 17lbs 11oz

So basically Steve started off much bigger than Parker but it didn't take long for Parker to turn into a chunker. :) Parker is a full pound bigger than Steve was in each of these measurements, however he finally caught up to his daddy's height. It will definitely be interesting to see how Parker grows. I'm not gonnna lie, it would be sweet if Parker was tall like Steve, but of course we're gonna love him no matter how tall (or chunky) he is. :)
