Parker is the funniest kid ever! He totally takes after his Daddy! He loves to make ANYONE laugh. I wish I could explain it, but you would just have to watch him for 5 minutes to understand. If anyone in the room starts laughing (not because of him) he turns around to look at who ever was laughing and start laughing like he did something funny. He pulls faces, dances, uses everything as a hat, and wears weird kid/grandma glasses. We are ALWAYS laughing!
Parker also enjoys to give kisses. The are very slobbery and open-mouthed.....but we love it anyway!
Here is Parker wearing yet another "hat". I know every parent says this but, seriously, this kid is so stinkin' adorable!
We did not teach Parker to do this....he found a cap to a marker and just like everything else, put it into his mouth. Steve says that Parker reminds him of Frank Sinatra in this picture.I can hardly believe how much Parker has grown up in the last little bit. He is starting to say more and more things that we can understand and I just don't want him to grow up anymore! I just want to keep enjoying this stage with Parker forever, time just passes so fast. We've got to be careful to enjoy each and every moment, I love our little family.

Baby.....

A little late....a lot of people already know... Baby Dunn #2 is a BOY!!!! We are so excited! Parker will have a little buddy! Everything looked good and the baby is healthy. We have NO clue what we are going to name him though. :)

Lately...

Life is crazy...as usual. Parker is growing up so fast! I don't even remember when he stopped crawling all together because it feels like he's been walking for a long time. He also sprouted like six teeth around the same time he quit crawling. So now he has a mouth full of eight sharp teeth!
Steve has been working at the Pharmacy here 3x a week and also received the calling of scout master for the 11 year olds. He feels very overwhelmed with the calling, but I am sure things will get better here soon. School keeps me very busy! I also received a new calling and along with Steve, feel overwhelmed. I was called to be the 1st councilor in the primary presidency. Yikes!

We went pine nut picking a while ago...and found nothing. They both look upset, don't they? :)

About a week ago, Parker had the flu for just about 5 days. It was so sad! It always breaks my heart when he is sick. The only good thing about him being sick was that he just wanted to snuggle and that NEVER happens with him!


Parker was a monkey for Halloween. We didn't get very many good pictures, so this will have to do.

Panaca received its first snow of the season. Parker lasted about 15 minutes in it before he wanted to go inside.

I'm sure there is more to write about, I'm just glad I put this much up!
PS......on Wednesday we find out the gender of baby #2!!!!

Big Brother

Yes! We are expecting Baby Dunn # 2 in March! I'm not quite sure what to think about having two kids here soon, but we are happy. Steve and I wanted our kids to be pretty close in age and then when I got the teaching job I thought that we wouldn't have another one for a while just because the first couple of years can be pretty busy and challenging. But, we didn't want there to be a huge gap between Parker and the next child. So, with the maternity leave and then the summer I'll have a couple months to spend with our new baby and Parker!



In about 2 1/2 weeks we find out the gender......I can hardly wait!

A Little Late...But Happy Birthday!

Okay, okay! Give me a break. I am just too stinking busy these days. Plus with the move we have lost our camera charger and our camera is dead. So that means we cannot upload pictures of Parker. Ah! Despite all of the craziness I was actually able to write up the following on Parkers birthday…
I have a hard time believing, that a year ago today, I met my sweet baby boy for the very first time. Parker has been such a blessing in our lives, and we thank Heavenly Father every day that he sent us this wonderful, special spirit.
It has been so fun to watch Parker learn and grow these past couple of months. I love it! Any day now I think he will give up crawling, he’s so close. He says mama, dada, bye bye and he signs please and more. We swear he has said a couple of other words, but he’s just getting really good at copying sounds. We are working on a couple of other signs at the moment. Parker (tries) to brush his hair and teeth, answer a phone and wipe his face. He helps you put his feet through foot holes in pants and tries to put on shoes (anyones). He has four teeth and is about to get two more. I’m probably forgetting something, but for now this will have to do.
We LOVE our little boy SO much! Happy Birthday Parker!

An update

Well...life is crazy! We have now moved down to Panaca and will hopefully have a place to rent in a couple of weeks. I just found out this Monday that I was hired as a first grade teacher...I start school this coming Monday! I am pretty nervous. I have been spending my days in my classroom trying to get ready. My room was pretty chaotic when I first got there, I'll spare you the details. So there has been a lot to do! I am excited and ready for the challenge....I'm just not ready to leave my little boy. It already breaks my heart when I leave to do stuff at my room for a couple of hours. I think being away from Parker will be my biggest challenge. Seriously.

Steve will hopefully soon take a test to start helping my Dad with his pest control business. Well thats all for now. Sorry for the scattered post...my brain is a little frazzled at the moment.

Oh, and about a week ago Parker took 6+ steps! He still prefers to crawl but I believe walking is in the near future. Yikes! And he's almost one! What the heck??!

Rexburg

Rexburg has been my home for over five years and now I'm getting ready to say goodbye. I've always had a love-hate relationship with this place.....I think a lot of people do. I absolutely LOVE the summers here but HATE the winters. I always thought I would be SOO happy to leave Rexburg when the time came, but now that it's here, it's killing me! I have so many memories here. This is where it all started for Steve and I. This is the place that our sweet baby boy was born. We have met so many good people and have created so many lasting friendships.

CAMPING!!

Almost two weeks ago we were able to camping with my family. I LOVE camping. This was also Parkers very first time and he was so good! It sure helped to have so many little kids paying attention to him. :)

I can't remember who caught the horny toad but Parker was fascinated with it. I was actually pretty scared for the poor thing because it really looked like Parker was just going to squeeze him to death. If you look in the picture I had to hold his had back. :)

There were a TON of these little guys running around begging for food. They were also pretty brave. I couldn't believe how close they would get to us.

It's hard to see in these pictures, but we had placed a couple of peanuts along my Dad's pants and shoes, waiting for the chipmunks to come and get them. If you look really hard you can see the chipmunk by my Dad's book. I LOVE my Dad's face! HAHAHAHAHA!

Parker slept like a champ while we were there! Here's proof...

Parker woke up around seven each morning, before anyone was out of bed. So he enjoyed spending some time with Grandpa Cluff. Here they are playing with a hatchet.....hmmm.

Ten Months!!!

Ten stinkin months already! I wish time would just slow down for a bit. Parker has learned and grown so much this past month and I love it, but I just want him to stay little forever!

Here is a list of things he is doing:

Waves hi/bye.....he's been doing this for a little while now but has recently gotten better.

Babbles dad dad dad and mum mum mum ALL of the time...he's been doing this for a while to.

Pulls himself up to a standing position and is beginning to walk around while holding onto the furniture.

He crawls 50% of the time and the rest is his awesome army crawl.

He LOVES food and is such a mooch. If you are eating ANYTHING he will come up to you and whine and beg until you share some with him. If Steve and I ever sit down on the floor to eat he is right up in our faces begging.

Parker has an internal clock and wakes up around 6-6:30 AM every morning even if he is still tired. He could go to bed at 11pm or even 7pm and he'll still wake up at 6. Drives us crazy. It's a good thing he greets us with such a huge smile in the morning!

Parker loves to make us laugh. He is such a stinker! If we start laughing at him he gets SO excited and starts clapping his hands (well his way of clapping his hands anyway).

Parker likes to point his fingers and he always wants us to point back at him. Steve thought Parker was calling him a loser, I said that he is telling him he loves him. :)

Uncle Hunter came and stayed with us for a couple of weeks and Parker enjoyed all of the attention. I was sad when he left because then I didn't have someone to take out the diapers or go and grab me something. :)

This is Parker at the splash park in Rexburg for the first time. He didn't really like it. He didn't like that the water was getting splashed up into his face. I'm sure it didn't help that there were bigger kids around splashing water into his face either.

This is what happens when Steve dresses Parker. To me, he looks like a farmer.

I absolutely LOVE this little boy. He makes us so happy!

Parker & Paisley

Here are some cute pictures of cousins Parker and Paisley. Parker was such a ham and was totally cheesin it up for the camera and everyone watching.

Parker finally started to realize that Paisley was crying and he wasn't quite sure what to think about it.

Cupcakes......I'm lame and can't come up with anything creative.

So lately I have had a lot of fun making cupcakes. For my birthday I got a cupcake decorating set and also a couple of cupcake books.......so fun! So the other day I made these awesome cupcakes for Independence day. (A little early, I know)
