Our California Trip

We started out our trip by staying in Panaca for a few days. I had been wanting to take Parker swimming at the spring for a while now and we finally had a nice enough day to do so. At first he wasn't quite sure what to think about the water but he warmed up to it really fast. He was constantly trying to drink the water. He would also splash and splash until his face was drenched.
We spent three days at Disneyland and California Adventures and each day was packed with people but we still had a lot of fun. We didn't get very many pictures and the ones we did get were not always very good. I wanted so badly to have Parker get some pictures with some of the Disney characters but it just never happened. Next time!
I had to put this picture up just because it made me laugh.

Parker was pretty good during this trip but we wore him out! He also got his bottom teeth while we were there so he was a little cranky.
Our favorite ride of all time was the Grizzly River. We would go on it at night when everyone was too chicken. We were able to just go over and over again because no one was in line. It was soooo much fun! This ride was totally worth being wet and uncomfortable for the rest of the night!
While in Anaheim we ate at the Cheesecake Factory. SO GOOD! Steve and I split a meal and still had leftovers. We also got to try several cheesecakes....my favorite was the vanilla bean.
This is how we kept Parker entertained while we were there. :)

This was Steve's and Parker's very first time at the beach. I think they both enjoyed themselves, even with Steve being stung by a stingray!

Nine Months Old

Oh how we LOVE this little boy. He is getting so dang BIG! He still army crawls like a champ. He is SOOO close to crawling for real. He crawls the real way just a couple times and then goes right back to his army crawl. After we got back from our Cali trip I swear he is into even more stuff...but I love it.
On our California trip Parker sprouted his first two teeth and they are so cute!

Here are his stats from his 9-month checkup.
Weight: 18lb 120z 21%tile
Length: 29in 75%tile
Head: 19in 99%tile (no surprise there!)

This was Parker's first time on the beach, Steve's too... they both loved it! It was fun watching Parker rub the sand between his fingers and toes. He's so stinkin' cute!
We'll be posting more pictures from our trip here soon.

A Whole Lot of Stuff!

Well, Parker turned eight months old....a little while ago. Parker is VERY good at his one handed army crawl, it's quite entertaining to watch. I keep thinking that any day now he will start to crawl. He gets up on all fours and will stay there for ever just looking around and then he will just go to his tummy and start his army crawl. Parker is starting to wave hi to us by holding his hand to the side and then opening and closing it. He LOVES to make all sorts of noises with his mouth, some that I don't think I could even make!
Steve recently celebrated his 27th birthday! I don't think it was much fun for him though. He had to teach his first day of seminary the next day and so he spent pretty much the whole day being nervous and planning his lesson. It payed off though, because Steve was approved to go on to student teaching in the fall.
The past couple of days have been beautiful in Rexburg so we have spent A LOT of time outside. We took Parker to Porter Park for the first time and he had a blast. He really enjoyed the swing. There is a video of it at the bottom.
I think parker was trying to smile but the sun was just to bright and so this is what we got!
We also had tin foil dinners last night with Jaycie and Josh. I love being outside, just relaxing and talking around a fire! It's seriously the best!

It got kind of chilly once the sun went down so we put Steve's jacket on Parker and he just looked so cozy and warm!

The Rest of Our Trip

Here are some more pictures from our Panaca trip. The boys went snowboarding and all came back looking REALLY burnt. Half of them used a moisturizer with SPF 15 and the other half didn't use any sunscreen. I think each one of them had nice blisters on their faces. No fun!
Here are some pictures of Parker with his uncles. Dyllon was really good at making Parker laugh. I will try to put some videos of that up later.
On my birthday, Dyllon and Dakota were able to convince my parents to let them skip school for the day. So we went to Cathedral Gorge and had a little bit of fun there.

It was SO nice to get away from Rexburg and visit some family. Steve and I can hardly wait until we can move away from here and start the next step in our lives.

Panaca Trip So Far

Our Panaca trip started off with going to Dyllon and Dakota's track meet. The weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and we all had fun cheering for them. It was a little weird going to a track meet instead of a softball game...but still fun!

Dyllon throwing the discus.
Dakota running the 4x8 relay. (Sorry the pics not that great.)
Hunter enjoyed reading Parker's new books to him.
So... kinda funny. We gave Braden a hard time for this, but check out Parker's shirt. :)
This is a picture we took at my Grandmas house in St. George and I LOVE it! So cute!

Our Week In Nampa

I'm not even sure where to start about this past week. It has been very crazy, but we have really loved being here with family.
Steve's parents are putting tile in their house and Steve has been able to help. It has turned into a VERY long project.
Here is the house before the project.....
This last Saturday Parker got sick with the flu. My heart just broke every time he had to throw up, especially when there was nothing left in his little tummy. I just wished I could take all of his pain and discomfort away and be sick for him. It blows my mind how he still managed to give me big smiles even when he was sick.....I loved it though!
While Steve and his Dad were working hard on doing the tile, I enjoyed the snuggle time I had with my sick little boy.
We also went to Chuck-A-Rama for Aubree's Birthday. The only picture that we got while we
were there was of Parker and I.
Well, thats all!

Steve Did It!

Steve did it! He graduated! He is done! What a hard couple months it has been, but we are so glad Steve finished. I am so grateful for the support that our family and friends have been during this time. I am especially grateful for the support and love that we have seen and felt from our Heavenly Father. There is no doubt in my mind that he is real, that he loves us, and that he is in every detail of our lives.
So whats next? Steve will do a week long practicum teaching in a seminary class the first week in May. If he passes, he will begin doing a year long student teaching for seminary this coming school year, which means we could be here for another year....blah. So for now, we will be enjoying the next couple of weeks we have off AWAY from Rexburg visiting family.
Lastly, Parker is seven months (and 4 days) old! We sure love this little dude. He is such a busy body and loves to move! When he sees something he wants he will wiggle his body and get up on all fours and lunge forward to get it! So fun!
