Another month has quickly passed by. Jaxon is getting so big and is such a chunk! He weighs 12 1/2 pounds! He seems to have outgrown whatever colic we were dealing with earlier on, which is so nice! He is also becoming much more alert. I LOVE his little smiles and coos. What a sweet baby boy he is!
I wish that I could say everything has been great lately.....but it really hasn't. Starting last weekend Steve had to leave us for the weekend for work. NO FUN! He was gone 4 days and 3 nights and those were probably some of the hardest days and nights ever! Parker was just starting to get sick the day before Steve left and I was just hoping it wouldn't get too bad...hahaha! If I had only known what was to come those next days. The first night Steve was gone it felt like I was up all night with Jaxon because he was coming down with what Parker had. He couldn't breathe very well and had crap in his chest and nose. The next night was just as bad if not worse. ANYWAY...It was a long HARD weekend with very LITTLE sleep. I had worn myself out so much that I got sick too. Both boys have had very high fevers off and on for many days and at one point they both got very lethargic and didn't want to eat. We finally took them in to the Doctor and now we are all on antibiotics. So we are all still pretty sick (except for Steve, who is gone again for the whole weekend). I hope that the medicine can help my boys feel better soon. It is so hard to watch them suffer and be uncomfortable.
I am so grateful for a loving husband that came to our rescue and did whatever he could to try and make us feel better. Going to work was especially hard this week for me because of being sick and leaving behind my sick boys. Steve was awesome though. He even took Jaxon for three nights so that I could get uninterrupted sleep....which was sooo nice!
This was a rather long post, but I guess I just had a lot to say. I love my little family. I am a very lucky lady!
Parker is such a good brother. He loves to kiss and hold Jaxon's hand. He LOVES to try to help me with Jaxon whenever he can. Oh yeah, something else about Parker. I wouldn't say he is a pro at it... but Parker can climb out of his pack and play and his crib. Actually, I should say he knows how to FALL out of his crib while trying to climb out. Let's just say I woke up to a rather loud thunk this morning followed by a very upset little boy....I think we're in trouble.
I know how you feel about hubbies being gone. Toby was gone for alwmost 2 weeks straight (he was home for one weekend between). I'm sorry you were all sick!
